I am wondering if somebody could help me. I am trying to find out what happens with employees who are transferred to a new company due to a acquisition. I am specifically interested in the gratuity pay/transfer.
I understand that it would be ideal if all employees could resign, all gratuities paid and new contract issued.
If the new company does not want to pay all gratuities but to transfer them and maintain the continuity, could this be done? and if so, what would be the process?
Could someone help please?
