I am working as the GM of an insurance broker in Dubai. My contract is an unlimited contract and visa expired on 24th Dec 2015 and labour card expired on 16th Dec 2015. First year I did not take annual leave. Second year I started my annual leave on 10th Nov 2015 and joined back on 9th Dec 2015. I send a notice to management by hand on my leave period, exactly on 22nd November that I don't want my visa to be renewed and please cancel my visa.
Since my performance was very good, management was not ready to leave me. Since I got a good offer from another broker, I want to leave the previous employer. Finally I complained to the MOL and got my visa cancelled on 29th December 2015. My visa is also cancelled
Now they are planning to put a labour ban on me stating that I have not served the one month notice period because the notice was given during the annual vacation time. Is it possible to impose any labour ban on me by the previous employer?
