I have joined a company in UAE during June 2015, during the month of April 2016 i went on Emergency leave for a period of days (salary was not paid to me). Since i completed one year of service during June 2016 i have requested my organization regarding my annual leave payment and they mentioned that since i was on Loss of pay i have not completed one year of service. I just want to know:
How is the years of service calculated in UAE?
Do we exempt Loss of pay while calculating the Annual Leave?
i have also heard from the company that, while calculating the annual leave for next year (2017) they will start calculating the year of service from the day i resumed for duties (after completing annual leave) instead of my initial date of joining. Is this correct?
